Search, reserve, verify, drive.
No counter, no queue, no upsell script. Here is exactly what happens between finding a car and pulling out of the driveway.
- 01
Search real availability
The fleet page only shows cars that are genuinely free for your dates — it checks against live bookings, not a category allocation. If a car is listed, it exists and nobody else has it.
- Weekly rates kick in from 7 days, monthly from 28
- Included kilometres and bond shown per vehicle
- Filter by category or just browse the lot
- 02
Reserve without paying
Fill in your details and the car is held for you. No card required to reserve. We check the vehicle over and reply by text and email — inside the hour during business hours, first thing otherwise.
- Nothing charged at the point of booking
- Add-ons priced per day, not bundled
- Tell us your flight number and we track the arrival
- 03
Verify and pay
Once confirmed you get a secure payment link for the hire plus the refundable bond, and a one-off link to photograph your licence. Both take about a minute on your phone.
- Card or bank transfer, no cash
- Bond is held, not spent
- Business accounts skip this and get invoiced monthly
- 04
Collect and drive
We send the exact bay, the address and the lockbox code if you are collecting after hours. Everything is signed digitally beforehand, so there is nothing to queue for.
- Airport pickups met at arrivals or left in short-stay
- Photos of the car's condition taken at handover, shared with you
- Return it the same way — park, lock, drop the keys
The questions we actually get
What do I need to bring?
A full driver licence — Australian, New Zealand or UK — and the card used to pay. Overseas licences are fine alongside a passport; if it is not in English, bring an international permit or a certified translation. Drivers must be 21 or over.
What does the bond cover?
It sits against the damage excess, unpaid tolls and fines. It is held on your card rather than charged, and released within three business days of the car coming back clean and undamaged.
How does fuel work?
Return it at the level it left with and there is nothing to pay. We do not charge a refuelling service fee — if you bring it back short we only bill the fuel at cost. Electric cars work the same way with charge percentage.
What about tolls?
Add a Linkt pass for a few dollars a day and drive CityLink and EastLink without thinking about it. We reconcile the actual toll amount afterwards at cost. Without a pass, any tolls incurred come out of the bond plus the road operator's own admin fee.
Can I take it interstate?
Yes, with a heads-up so we can make sure the cover is right. Victoria is unrestricted as standard. Unsealed roads need prior approval, and the 4x4s are the only vehicles we will approve for them.
What if I need to cancel?
Free up to 48 hours before pickup, with the bond released in full. Inside 48 hours we keep one day's hire. If we cancel on you — a car goes down, something breaks — you get everything back and we help find a replacement.
Do you deliver?
To both airports as standard. To an address within about 40km of the CBD for a flat delivery and collection fee, and free on hires of 14 days or more.
Can someone else drive it?
Nominate additional drivers when you book — a few dollars a day each, or free on business accounts. Anyone driving needs to be named on the agreement, otherwise the insurance does not hold.
Still not sure which car?
Tell us where you are going and how many people, and we will pick the right one.
